2 It is the day Greg leaves for Scotland. This means stage one of our multi phase moving trip is under way. All of our bags are packed (or almost). After 5 months of living in our amazing parents houses, we are commencing our move. We have sorted, sold, stored and have narrowed down our belongings to 13 50 lb duffle bags, 12 carry-ons, 4 car seats and 2 strollers.
3. Joy is almost three weeks out from her heart surgery. This week she has her (hopefully) final echo cardiogram, x ray and lab tests to make sure her heart, lungs and broken sternum are healing properly.
4. In less than two weeks my sister gets married,Greg flies back and the 6 of us embark on our new adventure. We still do not know where we are going to live, what we are going to drive, or really anything else about life in Scotland. We do know Greg is pursuing a dream of doing a Biblical Studies PhD, at the University of St Andrews. We do know that God has always provided housing for us "never too late and never too early" as our friend Jim Brown says. So as I snuggled Eli to sleep tonight I feel a peace, an excitement at discovering what God has for us, figuring out life in a new community, and finally getting back into some sort of routine!
